Business Development Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our partner, a highly respected global logistics solutions provider known for delivering integrated air, ocean, and road transportation services. They leverage cutting-edge technology and a worldwide network to optimize supply chains and reduce transit times for their clients. To further capitalize on the diverse market in Los Angeles, our partner seeks a Business Development Manager dedicated to forging new business relationships and expanding existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Sales Development: Identify key opportunities in the Los Angeles area, proactively reaching out to prospective clients needing domestic and international freight solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term partnerships with clients across industries such as manufacturing, retail, automotive, and technology, offering tailored logistics services.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with senior management to develop and refine sales strategies that align with the company’s broader objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with internal teams—Operations, Customer Service, Finance—to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Market Analysis: Keep abreast of economic and industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes, adapting strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Performance Management: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), making data-driven adjustments to achieve and surpass sales targets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in logistics sales (air, ocean, and road), with a strong understanding of forwarding and supply chain processes.
  • Strong Network: Established connections in the Los Angeles market and the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Capability to interpret market data, customer insights, and financial metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.
