Global Business Development Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of our partner, a global logistics solutions provider offering high-quality Air & Ocean freight services across multiple sectors. With a strong global network and a commitment to leveraging technology, our partner optimizes supply chains and drives efficiency. The International Business Development Manager will focus on expanding market reach, forming strategic partnerships, and managing key accounts in Air & Ocean transportation.
Key Responsibilities
Global Market Expansion
- Identify new international markets and opportunities for Air & Ocean freight services, using data-driven insights.
- Develop targeted strategies to reach high-potential industries, regions, and client segments.
Strategic Relationship Building
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with decision-makers, carriers, and industry stakeholders around the world.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, assessing their logistics requirements and offering personalized freight solutions.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and grow market share.
- Negotiate contracts that align with both client needs and our partner’s objectives.
Collaborative Account Management
- Partner with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure smooth onboarding and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to measure performance, address challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Establish clear KPIs for international expansion and monitor sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Generate regular reports and forecasts to keep senior leadership informed of progress, potential risks, and growth opportunities.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Remain current on global trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliant operations.
- Implement risk management processes that safeguard client interests and maintain operational integrity.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
- Keep up with emerging technologies and logistics trends to strengthen the Air & Ocean product portfolio.
- Contribute to product innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (advanced degrees/certifications are a plus).
- Substantial experience in Air & Ocean freight forwarding, with a proven record in international business development or strategic sales.
- Demonstrated success building and leveraging professional networks across different regions and cultures.
- Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to utilize data and market insights for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
- High degree of self-motivation and adaptability to evolving business environments.
