Sales Support Supervisor
We are recruiting on behalf of our partner, a global logistics solutions provider renowned for offering advanced supply chain services via air, ocean, and ground transportation. Recognized for leveraging cutting-edge technology and delivering tailored solutions to clients worldwide, our partner is expanding its U.S. operations and seeking a Sales Support Supervisor to join their Detroit, Michigan office. This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days per week) responsible for supporting the sales team in developing and implementing competitive pricing and business development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy Support Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and implement competitive strategies for international shipments by land, sea, and air.
- Sales Coordination Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs, tailor pricing proposals, and bolster business development initiatives.
- Data Analysis Examine market trends, competitor pricing, and client data to keep pricing both competitive and profitable.
- Quote Management Prepare, review, and distribute accurate, timely pricing quotes to the sales team and clients.
- Process Optimization Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline pricing and sales workflows, reducing turnaround times and enhancing efficiency.
- Relationship Building Serve as a liaison between the pricing and sales teams, ensuring open communication and shared objectives to drive cohesive results.
- Problem-Solving Address pricing-related queries from clients and sales teams, offering prompt, effective solutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Market Insights Remain updated on industry developments and international market conditions, using insights to refine and adjust pricing strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- Industry Experience 3–5 years of experience in sales, pricing, or a related role within air/ocean logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation.
- Sales-Oriented Strong understanding of sales processes, with the ability to provide tailored pricing solutions that support sales objectives.
- Detail-Focused Precise with numbers and data, ensuring quotes and pricing proposals are both accurate and competitive.
- Analytical Proficient in evaluating market data and customer needs to inform decisions and adapt pricing structures.
- Collaborative Thrives in cross-functional settings, working with multiple teams to achieve shared goals.
- Proactive Anticipates challenges, spots opportunities for improvement, and takes initiative to drive results.
- Platform Experience Familiarity with CargoWise, Cargosphere, or similar pricing/quoting platforms is highly beneficial.
- Adaptable Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
