Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our transportation team, optimizing routes and loads, and ensuring timely delivery of freight.
Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the transportation department

Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services

Organize and monitor the scheduling of trucks and routing to maximize efficiency and cut costs

Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations

Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycle

Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
-
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency

Resolve any arising problems or complaints

Supervise, coach, and train the transportation workforce

Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets

Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Requirements:

Proven working experience as a Transport Operations Manager

Record of successful distribution and logistics management

Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

Proficiency in standard logistics software

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

BS in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain
